ACUTE KNEE INJURIES

Acute knee injuries can be some of the most costly injuries for many as they can lead to significant pain, disability and prolonged rehabilitation timeframes. 90% of knee radiographs ordered are normal, and as such, it is crucial to be able to clinically assess an acute knee injury accurately, as well as knowing when to order imaging. This sheet focuses on a few of the most common acute knee injuries, and outlines the clinical features and examinations which help with diagnosing such injuries.
