Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a disease characterised by reduced bone density leading to an increased risk of fractures. Osteoporotic fractures are associated with increased morbidity and mortality, and a large number of patients who experience these fractures remain untreated despite the availability of effective treatment options. In this sheet, we summarise the clinical presentation, diagnosis and management of osteoporosis.
